Birth
of a Car
There
has always been some confusion in deciding the time of birth of a child.
The same difficulty is experienced if we have to decide on the birth
time of a car.
The
question is whether we should take the time of birth as the:
(1)
Time when the car is manufactured at the manufacturer's point, or
(2)
The time when the car is dispatched to the dealer from the
manufacturer's point ready for delivery to the customer, or
(3)
The time at which it leaves the showroom and reaches the customer.
The
aim of my study was to detect the defects emerging in the vehicles at a
particular time and not to predict them. Parasari Horary astrology was
tried. A horoscope was erected after noting the exact time at which a
particular car arrived at the service station for repairs. Affliction to
the Ascendant lord or Ascendant or both helped confirm the fault in the
vehicle.
Construction
of Car
A
car is constituted of the following major parts:
(1)
Body; (2) Engine; (3) Front Suspension; (4) Steering System; (5) Rear
Suspension; (6) Gear-Box Assembly; (7) Clutch Assembly; (8) Electrical
System; (9) Wheels; (10) Seats and Upholstery; (11) Dashboard and other
Controls; and (12) Brake System etc.
The Main Principle
Astrology
is a science of similarities symbols. We take the Sun as a significtor
of father (leading member of the family), Prime Minister, King,
President, Chief Minister, Governor (leading members of countries or
states), etc. This is because all the planets have taken birth from the
Sun and life is possible on earth only due to the Sun. In other words,
the complete solar system is dependent only on the Sun and the existence
of the planets cannot be thought of without the existence of the Sun.
All the engine systems have been devised astrologically keeping in view
this principle.
The
cooling system has been analysed astrologically as follows:
(a)
Water Pump: As it pumps the coolant in the system, i.e., it gives
energy to the system, it is considered as coming under the Sun.
(b)
Radiator: Crabs thrive on the seashores and ponds. To radiate
their body heat they go into the water and then come out of it. The main
function of the radiator is to radiate the heat of the engine. So the
radiator is considered under the sign Cancer.
(c)
Pipes and Hose Pipes: They represent the path of the coolant
which should come under Mercury.
(d)
Coolant: The Moon is a watery and cool planet, it rules liquids,
so we will take the coolant under the Moon.
Faults
in the Car
Engine
Fails to Start: If the engine is rotating by the self-starter but
not starting, there can be two problems in the engine: (a) Fuel system
may not be working properly, and (b) Electrical System may not be
working properly.
Fuel
System:
(i) Fuel (petrol) is a costly liquid, so it is considered to
come under Venus. (ii) Pipe lines are considered akin to food-pipes. We
shall take the 2nd house and Taurus Rasi as ruling fuel pipes. (iii) For
fuel pump both Venus and the Sun have to be considered.
Whenever
a person comes with the problem that his car is not starting, we erect a
horary horoscope for the time of his arrival. After examining the
Ascendant if we find that Venus is badly afflicted or there is
affliction; in any other factor discussed above, we can be sure that the
problem is in the fuel system.
Special
Combinations
Affliction
of Mars to Venus will result in overflow of petrol in combustion chamber
which can result in failure of the engine to start. Affliction of Saturn
to Venus will restrict the incoming fuel. If Rahu or Ketu afflict Venus,
it may result in theft of the fuel or even the car itself.
The
owner of the Maruti car Regn. No. DDC 9573 approached me at 12h. 56m. on
20-7-1994 (Chart 1) with a complaint that his car had stopped a small
distance after Peera Garhi crossing in Delhi.
A
horary horoscope was erected and analysed that the problem was in the
fuel system and fuel pipe. We find that the Ascendant is afflicted by
Rahu and 6th lord Jupiter. The Ascendant lord is badly afflicted by
three malefics Saturn, Ketu and Mars. The combined effect of Mars,
Saturn and Ketu on Venus and the position of Venus in a Badhaka house
suggests the exhaustion of petrol in the car. Further scanning shows
that Ketu is in the 7th, the house of enemy. The dispositor of Ketu,
Mars is in Taurus. Ketu rules terrorists. Taurus sign represents the
fuel pipe. The petrol pipe of the car was cut by mischievous boys when
the car halted at the traffic light. The owner managed to run his car a
short distance with the residual petrol in the carburettor after which
it came to a halt. The boys knew that the car would stop after covering
a short distance. They ran upto the vehicle and kept saying they could
restart the car for a charge of Rs.50/- only. But the owner refused.
Being our regular customer, he walked up to the workshop from where he
got assistance from us and his fuel pipe was connected again by the
mechanic.
Problem No.1
Fault
in Electrical System
(i)
The electrical system contains the ignition coil which amplifies the
current. So we must consider Mars and the Sun.
(ii)
The spark plug leads are considered under Mercury and the current in
them as Rahu.
(iii)
The distributor receives the current from the ignition coil and
distributes it to the spark plug leads. So we will consider Mercury (for
communication) and Mars and Scorpio Rasi (for spark) for the
distributor.
(iv)
Spark Plugs: Mars and Scorpio Rasi must be considered for spark
plugs, since Mars is for current and the spark and Scorpio Rasi for
pricking.
If
any of the systems listed above fail, the car fails to start. Normally
in the service stations, preventive maintenance of the distributors and
the spark plugs etc., is done in routine services to prevent a major
breakdown. Even after that breakdowns are sometimes inevitable.
The
native of car Regn. No. DL 2CB 2407 approached me at 9.30 a.m. on
2-8-1994 complaining of the failure of his car to start. After erecting
the horary horoscope (Chart 2) it was found that the Ascendant lord
Mercury is placed in 11th with 12th lord Sun. Affliction of Mercury by
12th lord suggests problem in communication. The 12th house also
represents self undoing. There is a combined aspect of Mars and Saturn
on Scorpio Rasi which represents distributor and spark plugs. Mars is
conjucting exalted Moon who is the 11th lord. The Moon is also aspecting
Scorpio Rasi which is its debilitation Rasi.
The
owner himself was responsible for problem in his car. In the morning he
washed the engine of the car with plenty of water. Some of the water
managed to get into the distributor and spark plugs resulting in leakage
of current. The result was that the engine of the car did not start. The
mechanic just cleaned the distributor and spark plugs to remove the
affliction of the Moon from the distributor and spark plugs. Experienced
astrologers know that Mercury (Buddi Karaka) is bound to be afflicted by
the Moon (Manahkaraka).
Problem No. 2
Erratic
Idling and Missing in the Engine
This
problem is also due to malfunctioning of fuel and electrical system
normally.
Problem
due to Fuel System
When
Saturn afflicts Venus, fuel supply is restricted to a large extent. When
Mars afflicts Venus, there can be overflow of fuel. If Mars afflicts
Venus, there is also excessive consumption of fuel. Maruti car Regn. No.
DDC 5453 arrived at 10.40 a.m. on 11-7-1994 (Chart 3).
We
find that the Ascendant lord is afflicted by Rahu and the 12th lord Sun.
Venus (significator for petrol) is afflicted by both Saturn and Mars.
The car was hard to start and was missing badly. The owner also
complained of excessive consumption of petrol. The carburettor was
cleaned properly to remove the ill-effect of Saturn. The air-fuel
mixture in the carburettor was adjusted properly to remove the effect
due to Mars which represents excessive fuel consumption.
This
study was started in June 1994 when Venus was in Cancer. I was expecting
some unique problems in petrol when Venus would enter Virgo on 2-8-1994.
A series of problems of contaminated petrol were recorded by me till
Venus left Virgo. In the rainy season there is a fair chance of water
entering the petrol tanks of petrol pumps since they are underground. So
when the petrol level is shallow in the tank there is a fair chance of
pumping water with petrol into cars etc. It must also be noted that the
month of August covers the rainy season. Venus was in Cancer and Leo in
August 1995. Not even a single problem of contaminated petrol and water
in the petrol was recorded by us in August 1995.
Maruti
Car Regn. No. DL 3CD 1293 came to the service station at 10.55 a.m. on
2-8-1994 (Chart 4). After looking into the horary horoscope, we found
that Venus was debilitated in Ascendant and the Ascendant lord Mercury
was afflicted by l2th lord Sun. The engine of the car was missing badly
and it was found that the petrol tank of the car containing water in
addition to petrol.
Problem
due to Electrical System
Mars
is the significator of spark. Scorpio Rasi signifies pricking.
Chart
5 is the horary horoscope of car Regn. No. DAV 3074. The owner came at
3.40 p.m. on 17-6-1994
The
engine of the car was missing and the car was also giving less mileage.
We find that Mars, significator of current, is eclipsed by Ketu within
5°. Saturn is also aspecting Mars rendering spark further weak. Spark
plugs of the car were replaced and general service of the distributor
was done to improve Mars and remove the ill-effects of Saturn and Ketu
on Mars (spark).
Problem
No.3
Non-circulation
of Engine Oil
Non-circulation
of oil in the engine results in seizure of the engine in no time.
Non-circulation of the engine oil can be due to choking of oil filter
and oil stainer, malfunctioning of oil pump and absence of engine oil in
oil sump. There is an indicator light provided on the dash board of the
car which glows if the oil does not circulate in the engine.
Lubrication
System
The
main work of this system is to lubricate all moving and stationary parts
of the engine for proper functioning and long life.
(i)
Engine Oil: We will take the Moon for engine oil.
(ii)
Oil Pump: The Sun is to be taken for the oil pump.
(iii)
Oil Filter and Oil Strainer: Oil filter strainer work as cleaners
to the oil. In the human body, the same work is performed by the kidneys
to the blood. So we will take the 7th house, its lord and Venus in this
regard.
(iv)
Oil Sump: Trinal effect of the watery signs, viz., Cancer,
Scorpio and Pisces should be taken to represent the oil sump.
Premier
Padmini 118 NE Regn. No. DL 1CB 2039 came by crane at 11.58 a.m. on
0-7-1994 (Chart 6).
We
find that the Ascendant lord Mercury is hemmed between Mars and the Sun
and aspected by Rahu and Badhaka lord Jupiter. Sign Cancer contains the
l2th lord Sun. Its lord Moon is debilitated and badly afflicted by Mars
and Saturn. Scorpio is afflicted strongly by Saturn and there is
debilitated Moon in it. Pisces is hemmed between Saturn and Ketu. Its
lord Jupiter is conjunct Rahu. The Moon is debilitated in one of the
signs representing the oil-sump. The oil-sump of the car was badly
damaged by the impact of a big stone. It should be noted that Scropio
Rasi which represents oil-sump contains debilitated Moon which
represents engine oil. Engine oil from the sump was leaking. The oil
strainer in the oil-sump was also damaged. We should note that the 7th
house Pisces and its lord Jupiter are both afflicted. Venus, natural
significator of oil-strainer, is also badly afflicted by the aspect of
Saturn, Mars and Ketu.
The
oil-sump and oil-strainer were replaced for the proper circulation of
the engine oil. The engine was filled with engine oil but after starting
the engine it was found that oil was not circulating still. We should
note that the adverse effect of Mars and Saturn was removed to a large
extent by the replacement of oil-sump and oil-strainer. It was not
observed that Mercury which represents oil capillaries is also between
malefics. Saturn is also retrograde aspecting the Moon, which is capable
of relapsing the problem. The circulation of the engine oil started only
after clearing the oil capillaries after opening the engine again. The
desired results of circulation of oil properly in the engine were
achieved when the Moon left Sagittarius at about 14h. 10m. on 22-7-1994.
Kindly observe that the Moon is full in Capricorn and is free from any
affliction.
Problem
No.4
Overheating
of the Engine
Malfunctioning
of the cooling system results in overheating of the engine.
Cooling
System: Cancer is a very sensitive and emotional sign, so is the
radiator which it represents. Affliction of the sign by Rahu, Ketu or
Mars is capable of puncturing and damaging the radiator. Mars entered
Cancer on 24-9-1994 and left Cancer on 23-11-1994. It retrograded and
entered Cancer again on 10-2-1995 and finally left Cancer on il-S-1995.
This time was excellent for radiator repairers. An example of leakage of
radiator during that period is given below.
Maruti
Van Regn. No. DL 3CA 9734 arrived at 11.22 a.m. on 28-9-1994 (Chart 7).
Problem
No. 5
Overhauling
of the Engine
An
engine requires overhauling after definite time intervals or there will
be a breakdown due to wear and tear. After running for definite hours,
cylinders in which the piston moves to and fro are enlarged resulting
in, leakage of compression from the compression chamber. The engine oil
also manages to enter into the combustion chamber from the oil sump. The
leakage of compression through the piston rings registers as loss in
power. Engine bearings also wear out and the noise in the engine
increases. When engine overhauling required, we require replacement or
reconditioning of the following parts:
(i)
Pistons, Cylinder Bore and Piston Rings: The piston and the
engine cylinder are reciprocal. In astrology, the to and fro sign Leo
and its lord Sun rule them.
(ii)
Engine Bearings: Engine bearings should be considered under
Aquarius sign and Saturn as they have to bear load.
(iii)
Engine Oil: Engine oil is considered under the Moon. When
overhauling is required, the engine oil has to undergo a lot of stress
and strain due to mixing of combustible gases with engine oil and the
consumption.
All
the factors given above should be examined to register engine overhaul.
Chart 8 is the horoscope for the time Maruti Van No. DAE 4095 came in at
18h. 30m. on 11-7-1994.
We
find Leo contains the 6th lord Venus, dispositor of Mars. Leo is
receiving the combined aspect of Ketu, Mars and Saturn. The Sun which
represents the engine and is the lord of Leo sign is in Badhakasthana
with the Badhaka lord Mercury. The Moon occupies the worst position in
the 8th house. Mars in the 6th suggests that machine work is required to
carry out repairs. Aquarius contains its own lord Saturn and is quite
strong, therefore. It is also aspected by Rahu and natural benefic Venus
and functional and natural benefic Jupiter. We can conclude by this that
engine bearings are not in very bad shape. Only the engine bore, piston
rings, piston should be carefully replaced or repaired to overhaul the
engine successfully.
Research
in the Eye of a Businessman
We
can astrologically analyse whether the owner of the car approaching us
will spend money on the
car or not. We can also pin-point whether the payment will be made then
only or afterwards.
In
the horary chart, if the 12th lord conjoins the 2nd or 11th lord, the
expenses on the car are inevitable. If 2nd lord goes to the 12th and
vice- versa or there is exchange of 12th and 2nd lords, the same results
must be expected. The same results are shown if the l2th lord goes to
the 11th and the 11th lord goes to the 12th or there is an exchange of
12th and 11th lords. In charts 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 the above conditions are
fulfilled, so the repairs on the cars were carried out. In Chart l,
there is no connection of the 12th lord with that of 11th and 2nd. The
repair of the car was done free of cost, since it was a minor problem
and he was a regular customer at the service station. In Chart 8, the
12th lord is aspecting 11th lord which suggests that the expenditure on
the vehicle was due. Overhauling of the engine is done when there is a
connection of the 12th lord with 11th or 2nd houses of a conjunction
with the 11th lord Venus or 2nd lord Saturn. To conclude:
In
any maintenance field, the first step of maintaining any machine is
preventive maintenance. In case of many problem or breakdown, the first
step is diagnosing and locating the fault; otherwise we cannot go any
further to remove the trouble. In case of diagnosing the problem in the
automobile machinery, we have seen that we can locate the fault by
astrological study. What I want to convey is that the help of astrology
can be taken to reduce the time of diagnosis, to pin-point the problem,
to reduce the cost factor and to reduce mental stress and strain in
pin-pointing the fault. Many doctors have started understanding the use
and worth of astrology in diagnosing disease in the human body and its ;
remedies. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, had said "A
physician cannot safely administer medicine if he is not acquainted with
astrology". It is very difficult to covert all the defects and
causes of defects in the article. Truly speaking, there is no end to the
type and number of defects emerging in motor vehicles. In spite of being
technically qualified and with more than 10 years experience in this
line, I have found myself sometimes in a soup in handling the problems
regarding motor vehicles. This paper is an attempt to make lovers of
astrology understand the method adopted in my study.
